We are currently recruiting undergraduate research assistants/interns for 2025 Fall.
We conduct many interdisciplinary research projects on the development of technologies for Active Aging (active and healthy aging), Human-centered Human-AI/Robot Interaction, and Social and Empathic AI.
- Qualifications
- Proficiency with programming languages (Python, R) for AI, Large scale data, and Statistical analysis
- Having taken psychological statistics and research methodology classes
- Willing to work 12 hours a week, for one semester at the least
- Responsible, cooperative and strict about deadlines
- Both recent undergraduate students / alumni are applicable
- Available to work offline in lab (1 - 2 days per week)
- Responsibility
- Participation in lab meetings (offline, biweekly)
- Participation in weekly journal clubs/methodology workshop (offline, biweekly)
- Assistance in lab research projects
- 1. literature review
- 2. data collecting, preprocessing, and coding
- 3. data labelling for AI
- 4. participating in usability tests
- Preferred Qualifications
- Proficiency with big data/deep learning/machine learning/large language model (Advantage for practical experience)
- Have experience with tools that are used for UI/UX and Virtual Reality (VR) (Including Unity, Unreal Engine, Blender-3D, Figma etc.)
